How hard is it install jet kit on stock carburetor for 2003 v-star 650?
i'm thinking of buying kuryakyn hypercharger and it comes with a jet kit which is required to put in if you're installing after-market air-intake. so my big question is- how hard is it to install the jet kit ? do i need to remove the gas tank? what are the steps to do the job? etc etc|||pretty simple, pull the tank, seat, drain the gas from the carb, disconnect fuel line, chock, throttle cable. Once the carbs off it's easy to put in the new jets, 1 for main 2 idle then reassemble it long as you didn't tear any gaskets. If you did you will need to replace the one you messed up. Be sure to spray out the float bowl with carb cleaner too that way there is no funk in there to build up later on. Reassemble it all back, filler with gas and go :) you should be happy with it. Stage 1 kits are nice for bikes under 800cc|||its fairly easy i do it on my yz250f dirt bike and it shouldn't be that hard just look in the service manuel
