Hi, well, recently i was watching tv and a commercial for Kidz Bop 13 came on.
And by boredom i noticed that there were a few songs that may not be suitible for children. Songs such as Party Like a Rockstar by Shop Boyz and The Great Escape by Boys lIke Girls.
Now as much as I LOVE boys like girls and the great escape, we all know that there are those beginning lyrics stating lets get drunk and ride around. and countless more in party like a rockstar. and in pinks 'who knew' throughout the entire chorus she says she'd stand u and punch them out.
so i cant help but wonder, what EXACTLLY are 'they' trying to enforce upon our youth?
Do they edit these songs?
I already investigated it and found that on previous albums they had songs such as "girlfriend' by avril lavigne and 'glamorous' by fergie and ludacris. Where in both songs they curse repeatadley.
so can someone please help me out here? id like to know what the media is trying to teach our children. No haters, just answersSong Lyrics??????
yes, they do edit the songs. lyrics are changed when they are inappropriate, and sometimes whole verses are left out. my daughters have only one, but I have no problem with most of the lyrics on it. I'm more just getting tired of hearing the same cd all the time! A few times they have even told me that the radio version is wrong, because it says bad words.Song Lyrics??????
all the songs u mentioned have clean versions with no cursing at all.Song Lyrics??????
They usually change all the words to make them unoffensive or violent, but they're probably still not the best songs for children.
They censor the swear words out of the songs, but I don't see how the kids couldn't get what the artists were putting across. I like most of the songs that are put onto Kidz Bop. However I absolutely hate how Kidz Bop ruins songs by "cleaning them up" and then making kids sing them.
