Rejetting the carbs is not an issue.|||I have a 03 v* 1100 classic with the hypercharger on it. It comes with the jet kit and k%26amp;n filter. You can use factory pipes or after market as it comes with the jets for both. I put in the 122.5 and 125 jets. You will also have to adjust your pms screws. I am 2 1/4 turns out, and I also have cobra slipon drag pipes with custom baffles. I love the look and ride.|||Unfortunately, it's not as simple as that. If you change the air cleaner you will most likely need to re-jet the carb. If you don't have a carb you will need a new FI map. And then to take full advantage of the better airflow, you will need new pipes. That will definitely call for a re-jet or re-map. Failing to do this could result in a lean run condition that could kill your motor. Or even the opposite. Fuel you can't burn washing the oil off the cylinder walls resulting in scoring and loss of compression.
Bikes are very fussy when it comes to changing out things that affect the fuel and air mixture. That's why just about every big bike shop worth the name has a dyno. Sometimes the only way to get a combination to work is to dial it in on a dyno. Now the person selling you the stuff won't tell you that, they just want your dough. Ask people that have your type bike what works for them.
I can't help much since I have an FXDWG with a TC-88. But I do run an S%26amp;S "E" carb and SE II pipes. Less in the way of gas mileage, but not bad. And a decent increase in power for the price. A good complete kit will do wonders for much less than engine modifications which usually require another carb and pipes anyway.|||Go with the maxair predator. You'll get a hp increase as compared to the others and it seems to come with the new jets.|||K And N Filters
