I HAVE A 93 EVO....MIKUNI CARB....KURYAKYN VELOCITY RAPTOR AIRCLEANER....VANCE N HINES STRAIGHT DRAG PIPES....ITS BEEN BACKFIRING THROUGH THE CARB....NOT ALL THE TIME JUST OCCASIONALY POPS....USUALY IN 3 4TH OR 5TH GEAR ON DECELERATION...NEVER AT IDLE OR ON REV. I CHECKED FUEL FILTER IT WAS PLUGGED A LITTLE, NEW ONE ON WAY. COULD THE FUEL FILTER BE THE ISSUE? OR WHAT? I KNOW ITS LEAN BUT IM HOPING TO NOT NEED A REJET....OR TO TAKE TO DEALER...DONT FEEL LIKE GETTING RAPED IF I CAN FIX MYSELF.|||Turn off the pit-cock vale and remove the 4 screw on the bottom of the carburetor and spray the inside of your carburetor with carburetor clean. You will notice there are all kind of little sand on the bottom of the bowl. That is why its good idea to have fuel filter before it go into the carburetor. I wouldn't take to the Stealership, it is pretty easy thing to do.|||Ask on the harley owners club web site.|||Nope, not your problem, but clean fuel filters are happy fuel filters. I'm willing to bet you've never changed it before too.
Leran how to jet. Your bike will thank you, and the added performance you WILL feel is your reward.|||No.
Then jet it yourself. It's not rocket surgery.
Turn Caps Lock off on your way out.
